Hassan II Mosque and its tall minaret beside the Atlantic Ocean in Casablanca Private

Private Casablanca Day Tour: Hassan II Mosque, Habous & Art Deco Downtown

Landed in Casablanca? See the Hassan II Mosque from the inside, the Habous quarter and the Art Deco heart of the city in one relaxed private day.

  • 1 day
  • Casablanca
  • Private
  • From J$ 16,992 (€95) per person

Overview

Most travelers from New York, Washington and Miami land in Casablanca, then rush straight to Marrakech. This private Casablanca day tour gives the city the day it deserves. You start at the Hassan II Mosque, one of the few mosques in Morocco that non-Muslims can enter, standing on the edge of the Atlantic. Then you follow the ocean road along the Corniche, wander the Habous quarter and finish among the Art Deco facades of downtown.

It is a gentle, flexible day. It works perfectly as your first day after an overnight flight, when you want to see something special without a long drive. Your driver picks you up at your hotel or at Mohammed V Airport (CMN) and sets the pace with you: longer at the mosque, a coffee break on the seafront, extra time for olives and pastries at the Central Market.

Because the tour is private, the price per person drops as your group grows, up to seven travelers in one vehicle. Planning a longer trip? Many of our guests add this day before a loop such as the 6-day Casablanca to Marrakech desert tour.

Highlights

  • Guided visit inside the Hassan II Mosque, set over the Atlantic
  • Seafront drive along the Aïn Diab Corniche
  • Habous quarter: pastry shops, olive stalls and craft shops
  • Mohammed V Square and the Art Deco buildings of downtown
  • Central Market for fresh seafood, flowers and spices
  • Pickup at your hotel or at Casablanca airport (CMN)

Itinerary

  1. Day 1 Casablanca city tour

Morning: Pickup at your hotel or at Mohammed V Airport. First stop is the Hassan II Mosque, whose minaret rises about 210 meters above the ocean. Join one of the official guided visits of the prayer hall, with its carved cedar ceilings, marble floors and room for thousands of worshippers. Visits run at set times and change on Fridays and religious holidays, so we plan the day around them.

Late morning: Drive the Corniche of Aïn Diab, the city's beach promenade, and stop for a coffee facing the waves.

Midday: Lunch at your own pace (seafood is the local pride), then the Habous quarter, built in the 1930s as a new medina, with its bookshops, olive sellers and almond pastries.

Afternoon: Mohammed V Square, the Art Deco and neo-Moorish buildings of downtown and the Central Market. Drop-off at your hotel or the train station in the late afternoon.

Good to know before your Casablanca day tour

Pickup: around 9:00 a.m. from your hotel or CMN airport; we adjust it to your flight and to the mosque's visiting times. Pace: easy, mostly short walks on flat ground. What to bring: clothes covering shoulders and knees for the mosque (women do not need to cover their hair for the tourist visit), comfortable shoes, a light jacket for the ocean breeze, and some dirhams for the ticket and small purchases.

Who it suits: first-time visitors, families and anyone with a long layover or a free day before heading south. Coming from the Caribbean or the US East Coast? Morocco is five or six hours ahead, so a gentle city day is the smartest way to beat jet lag.

What our travelers say

Moroccan journey

My family and I planned our own 10-day itinerary in Morocco. We hired a car with a driver to travel with us and enjoy everything Morocco has to offer. Salem, our driver, was a great person: kind, always available, and not just our driver — he suggested things to do, places to see and where to stay, and explained his traditions and culture…

Frequently asked questions

Can non-Muslims go inside the Hassan II Mosque?

Yes. The Hassan II Mosque offers guided visits for non-Muslim visitors at set times most days, except during prayers. As of October 2026 the schedule changes on Fridays and during Ramadan, so we confirm times before your tour. The ticket is paid on site.

Can you pick us up straight from the airport?

Yes. Many guests arrive on overnight nonstops from New York, Washington or Miami and start the tour from Mohammed V Airport. Tell us your flight number and we will meet you at arrivals and keep your luggage in the vehicle.

How long is the tour?

Plan on six to seven hours including lunch. Because it is private, you can shorten it if you are tired after your flight or stay longer at the stops you enjoy.

How much does the Casablanca day tour cost per person?

The vehicle and driver have one fixed price for the day, shared by your group, so the per-person price falls as more people join, up to seven travelers. You see the exact price for your group size in the booking form.

What should I wear to visit the mosque?

Modest clothing: shoulders and knees covered, for men and women. You remove your shoes inside the prayer hall and carry them in a bag provided at the entrance.

Any questions about this tour?

Send us a message, no commitment: we reply personally, usually within 24 hours. We can also adapt the route to your dates.
